On June 24, the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine will release Implications of Recent Advancements in Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity, a rapid expert consultation that examines how recent advances in generative AI and agentic systems are reshaping the cybersecurity landscape.
In conjunction with the report’s release, the Academies will host a webinar will highlight key takeaways from the publication, including how AI may shift the balance between offense and defense, why current measurement and evaluation approaches are struggling to keep pace, how AI-enabled tools could support more continuous and adaptive cyber defense, and what new risks arise as AI systems are deployed in operational environments. The discussion is intended to inform near-term decision making by policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and other stakeholders working to strengthen cyber resilience in an AI-enabled era.
